On November 19, YGL accompanied Li Qiyun, President of Jilin Agricultural University, and his delegation of four members on a visit to the University of the Aegean.

During the visit, the delegation carried out a series of core tasks. First, they promoted Jilin Agricultural University’s international student admission policies and the Chinese Government Scholarship Program among the faculty and students of the University of the Aegean. Second, the delegation held talks and working sessions with Professor Dimitrios Papageorgiou, President of the University of the Aegean, discussed and refined specific matters including talent cultivation programs and course alignment for disciplines such as Food Science and Resources and Environmental Sciences, and clarified the implementation roadmap and timeline for various tasks, driving substantive progress in the joint efforts to establish a cooperative education institution. In addition, the delegation made field visits to relevant departments, laboratories and scientific research platforms of the University of the Aegean focusing on Food Science and Resources and Environmental Sciences, surveyed the university’s program offerings and teaching practices, aligned them with the corresponding disciplines of Jilin Agricultural University, laying a solid foundation for the institution application.
Under YGL’s assistance, the two sides completed multiple rounds of in-depth preliminary communication. The two sides have reached a number of consensus on joint training, joint scientific research, faculty and student exchanges and other fields. YGL looks forward to witnessing fruitful outcomes of the cooperation between the two universities and jointly injecting new impetus into the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and Greek higher education as well as the collaborative development of industry, academia and research.
