On May 23rd, Vice President Jose A. Tavares of Berkeley College, USA, led a delegation to visit Guilin University of Electronic Technology. The accompanying members included Professor Jim H. Lee, Executive Director of Global Alliances and Director of International Affairs Department, among a total of five members. The visit aims to deepen the friendly exchanges between the two universities and conduct in-depth discussions on practical cooperation in areas such as joint education programs. Pan Kailin, Vice President of Guilin University of Electronic Technology, met with the delegation.

During the meeting, Pan Kailin warmly welcomed Vice President Jose A. Tavares and his delegation. He pointed out that the two universities each have distinctive characteristics and advantages in discipline construction and talent development, and looked forward to further expanding cooperation areas and deepening cooperation connotations based on existing exchanges, achieving mutual benefits and win-win results through resource sharing and complementary advantages.

Vice President Jose A. Tavares expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception by Guilin University of Electronic Technology. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on core topics such as the advancement of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, focusing on reviewing the joint process of applying for the undergraduate program in Digital Media Technology, and had enthusiastic and constructive discussions on key tasks such as enrollment coordination and subsequent operations management after the program approval. At the end of the talks, both parties reached a consensus that the Berkeley College delegation would visit again in December to continue promoting the implementation and effectiveness of various cooperation initiatives.
