During the evaluation, the university held a dedicated working meeting. Attendees included Prof. Ye Meilan, President of NJUPT; Prof. Liu Qingshan, Member of NJUPT Standing CPC Council and Vice President; Prof. Loizos Symeou, Vice Rector of EUC; Prof. Kostas Gouliamos, former Rector of EUC and Senior Advisor for Strategic Development; and Prof. Chao Jie, Dean of EUCI. Also in attendance were program coordinators, faculty members, teaching administration staff, and enterprise representatives.

Prof. Ye Meilan, President of NJUPT, extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the delegation. She stated that NJUPT consistently upheld the philosophy of open education and regarded international cooperation as a key strategy for the university’s development. The collaboration with EUC represents a vital component of the university’s internationalization strategy, aiming to integrate the high-quality educational resources from both institutions to cultivate high-caliber talents with international vision and competitiveness. She emphasized that this evaluation served not only as an authoritative review of the collaboration between the two universities but also as a valuable opportunity to deepen Sino-Cypriot educational and cultural exchanges and enhance friendly cooperation.

Prof. Liu Qingshan, Member of NJUPT Standing CPC Council and Vice President, systematically presented the phased achievements attained through the collaboration to the expert panel. He expressed that the university would take the evaluation as an opportunity to further strengthen development and drive improvement, fully showcase its educational strengths and resource advantages, and continuously advance the high-quality development of the partnership. He expressed the hope to expand practical cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, academic research, and faculty development.

Prof. Loizos Symeou, EUC Vice Rector, expressed his full agreement. He stated that EUC highly valued the strategic partnership with NJUPT and would fully cooperate with the evaluation process, working jointly to elevate the cooperative education institution to a higher level. During the evaluation, the expert panel conducted in-depth inspections through various methods. They held discussions with program directors, administrative staff, and enterprise representatives to gain a comprehensive understanding of both educational activities and graduate employment.

The delegation also carried out on-site inspections of the library, laboratories, classrooms, and research facilities, and observed live teaching sessions. They commended NJUPT for its thorough preparation and current management and teaching standards of the cooperative institution, expressing their expectation that the evaluation would serve as a new starting point for further expanding in-depth collaboration in talent cultivation and academic research.

The successful conduct of this evaluation marks a significant step forward in NJUPT’s internationalization journey and lays a solid foundation for broader exchanges and cooperation between China and Cyprus in the field of higher education.
