On November 27, 2024, the 78th installment of the "Global Vision Lecture" series was successfully hosted in the Duxue Lecture Hall of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS). Representatives from YGL accompanied Professor Kostas Gouliamos to the event. Professor Cui Weihang, Secretary of the UCASS Party Committee, and Jiang Fei, Vice-President of both the UCASS Party Committee and the university itself, extended a warm welcome.

Prof. Kostas Gouliamos, an Honorary Professor at UCASS, recipient of the Chinese Government's Friendship Award, and former Rector of the European University Cyprus, delivered a lecture titled "The European Union Should View China Correctly." During his presentation, Professor Gouliamos advocated for the EU to consider China as a trustworthy partner in shaping a shared future and fostering peaceful coexistence. Despite the EU currently confronting multiple challenges at the economic, political, and social levels, the cooperation between China and the EU, as the world's two largest economies and pivotal players in the international order, is indispensable for global peace and prosperity. During the question-and-answer session, students actively posed inquiries, which Professor Gouliamos responded to in detail.

Following the lecture, Secretary Cui Weihang presented Professor Gouliamos with a Certificate of Appreciation for his insightful and engaging lecture to the UCASS faculty and students. As a long-standing friend of YGL, Professor Gouliamos also commended YGL's endeavors in fostering mutual learning between Chinese and European civilizations and promoting multi-level exchanges. In response, YGL expressed its commitment to continuing its close collaboration with Professor Gouliamos to enhance cultural exchange and cooperation between Chinese and European universities.
